10 key pieces of technical information you should have on hand and which should be updated include:
1. Technical Contacts – Technical persons in your company that can provide information about the networks or provide onsite assistance.
2. Current Documentation – Provide any current documentation that might help better support your network, including: Network Diagrams, Documents, Purpose of documents, Passwords.
3. Emergency Contacts – Contact info & keys for emergency access or if issues arise.
4. ISP Information – Current ISP(s) provider information in case of internet issues, including:
- Provider Name
- Contact number
- Account Number
- IP address
- Type (T1,MPLS)
5. Password List – Please list login information for any Web sites, DNS management, Domain management that you would like Envision to help support, including: Purpose, User, Password
6. Software Used – List all business related software and support contract information; including: Manufacturer, Version, Support, Contact Info, Under Contract.
7. Web Access Info – Please list any web interfaces users use to access internal information or email, including: URL, Purpose, Admin, Password
8. Server Maintenance Windows – Time that systems can be patched and rebooted. Note any servers that require special handling.
